Local environmentally-conscious companies and corporations can plant, protect, and promote trees throughout the Greater Houston Area by partnering with Trees For Houston.
COMPANY SPONSORED PLANTING or Tree giveaway
Trees For Houston relies entirely on private support. We request a tax-deductible donation from each company to underwrite the cost of its project. Funds cover necessary equipment, trees and watering.
Generous companies have planted more than 200,000 trees in the Greater Houston Area. Our corporate partners tell us how many volunteers and the level of sponsorship at which they’d like to participate, and we do the rest. We will plan an enjoyable, company-branded volunteer event that is tailored to your needs at areas around the Greater Houston area that need it most.
When you donate to Trees For Houston, you are also supporting the missions of our nonprofit clients. We believe that no organization that benefits the public should have to pays for trees. Trees For Houston’s operation model has a cost-effective economy of scale that allows us to plant trees far below market costs. A gift to Trees For Houston directly benefit schools, hospitals, public parks and more.

We offer planting events to the public in the fall and spring, typically late September through late April.

If you are unable to provide funding toward a project at this time, but would like to still volunteer, you can join a Trees For Houston general volunteer event as they become available throughout the late September- early-May planting season. Please note, with these events, since we don’t have them regularly and don’t offer high amounts of spots, we have a cap of 10 volunteers from a group who can sign up for these events to make available spots fair and equal for general individual volunteers.
Normally, these volunteer events are on Saturday mornings. There is no company signage at the site.

We plant trees that are typically 6-8 feet tall, which come in a 10-15 gallon container.

We work with the city and surrounding precincts to get approvals of parks and other green spaces. If you have a contact who can help approve a site you're interested in, we can definitely plant there. We also have a list of pre-approved sites in areas where trees are most needed and look to fulfill those sites first.

Trees For Houston provides all necessary materials and equipment, including gloves and shovels, and large water jugs. All volunteers are encouraged to wear close-toes shoes and bring their own refillable water bottles.
