Trees For Houston is excited to announce our Seasonal Tree Care series! This annual program will feature classes every Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Spring has sprung and so have trees! Join us for our Spring Tree Care Class taught by Jason Alfaro from Tree Mann Solutions. Join us to learn the proper ways to care for trees as they come out of dormancy and start actively growing. Don’t miss this opportunity to keep your trees healthy and thriving this season!

Topics include:

  • Pruning dead branches

  • Proper mulching and fertilization

  • Watering techniques

  • Checking for winter damage

Jason Alfaro has over 20 years of experience in the green industry.  He started his career working for local municipal parks and recreation departments and became the Parks and Recreation Director of various cities throughout Texas.  He has been a certified arborist for over 12 years, received his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification in 2024, and is currently working to obtain his American Society of Consulting Arborist certification.  Jason has been involved in various local boards and committees and was a board member and past president for the International Society of Arboriculture Texas Chapter (ISAT).
