Youth Education: Delightful Dendrology

  • Trees For Houston 1911 W 34th St Houston United States (map)

Trees for Houston is excited to offer a once monthly homeschool science class for students ages 6 to 12!

In March, our focus will be studying trees in the context of ecosystems. Learners will discover the vital role of trees as producers and the consumers that rely upon them through food chains and food webs. Students will also conduct a hands-on science experiment to deepen their understanding of photosynthesis.

This monthly educational series is offered free of charge thanks to the generous sponsorship of Centerpoint Energy.

Note: Space is limited, so please sign up only if your child can attend.

Date: March 24th

Parent Policy for Youth Education Classes

  1. Attendance Requirement:

    • A parent or caregiver is required to remain on the Trees for Houston Kinder Campus during the entire hour-long class session.
      Observation and Waiting Options:

      • Parents and caregivers have the option to observe the class in action inside the Bauer Education Center. Alternatively, they may wait in the shaded pavilion outside the classroom or on the bench in the office lobby.

  2. Supervision of Non-Participants:

    • If additional children are present who are not participating in the class, parents or caregivers are responsible for their supervision at all times to ensure safety. We recommend bringing a light snack or a small activity to help keep them engaged. The Kinder Campus is both a learning environment and an active workplace. We kindly ask all visitors to help us maintain the space by respecting the building and its facilities.
